Sesriem is well-known for Sesriem Canyon, which is the second most important tourist attraction in the area after Sossusvlei. This beautiful canyon has been carved out by the Tsauchab river and is a breathtaking tourist attraction. The Canyon is only two metres wide at certain points, and one water-filled portion attracts plenty of local wildlife. As one of Africa’s largest parks, Namib-Naukluft is one for the bucket list. The famous red dunes at Sossusvlei are a sight to behold and a photographer’s dream, in particular the towering Dune 45. Also worth exploring is Deadvlei, a white clay pan populated with dead acacia trees which add to its stark and haunting beauty.

cooperative agreement between the public sector and the private sector to help governments
leverage the expertise and efficiency of the private sector and raise capital to spur
developments, stimulate the economy and create employment.
A key dimension of these agreements is the development of innovative tourism facilities and the
use of private financing to fund construction and operation management for an agreed period of
time. Profit is distributed equally and the facility is transferred as an asset to the
government.
Sesriem Oshana Camp is a JV agreement between Sun Karros and Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR), a
state-owned enterprise. Sun Kaross have invested in excess of N$3 Million in the construction
and development of the Sesriem Oshana Campsite.
